The saddest type of case is when a beloved family member is killed due to accident, defective product or medical malpractice.  If this is through the legal fault of another, this is called “wrongful death”.  The death is “wrongful” because it should never have happened.  It does not have to be intentional death, only “wrongful” death.  Intentional death is called “murder” and the prosecutor handles those cases.  Accidental death due to someone’s negligence is “wrongful” and may result in a lawsuit.  We handle many of these cases on behalf of the surviving family members of the deceased.
