A Client’s Persistence Pays Off

A Client’s Persistence Truly Pays Off

The lawyers at Buttafuoco and Associates focus on practicing in one area of the law and doing it well. Because we focus solely on helping clients and their families with personal injury cases, we have gained experience and a vast knowledge of personal injury law. This experience has taught us what evidence to gather and what inconsistencies to look for. It has also allowed us to build relationships with a network of experts we feel confident calling upon for any type of personal injury case.

This makes us more able to handle cases than a firm which does not necessarily specialize in personal cases, which a client of ours recently learned.

The Value of Asking Questions and Seeking a Second Opinion

Another firm had previously told our client that he did not have a case; however, he was persistent and did not take “no” for an answer. Once we heard his case, we knew that, in addition to having a case where the first firm said he did not, he also had a very good case.

We took the client under our care and worked with him closely to develop his claim. His persistence and our observation paid off and we settled his claim for well over a million dollars.

The lesson to take away from this story is to never give up until you feel you have gotten a solid explanation of why a firm cannot bring your case to a settlement. If one law firm tells you “no,” always seek a second or even a third opinion.

This applies to other professionals as well. If a doctor says your back pain is nothing to worry about but it is stopping you from living your life, go to a second or even a third doctor. You never know what they might find. It cannot hurt but it can certainly help. If our client had taken “no” for an answer, he would have lost out on over one million dollars.

If you or a loved one sustained severe or fatal injuries in any type of accident, come by our offices and see how we can help you. Do not miss out on that to which you are entitled. Call us at 1-800-NOW-HURT or fill out our online contact form.
